We are Small and Loud.

Small and Loud offers emerging theatre writers, performers, comics and musicians the opportunity to try out their freshest ideas that are still in development when they’re ready to be tested in front of an intimate live audience.

Each month at The Channel, you’ll see excerpts of both exciting new works and works in development, performed. Audiences have the opportunity to support the writers and performers by offering feedback after the event over some drinks and firmly surrounded by good vibes only.

Small and Loud is the brainchild of writers/directors Liv Satchell and Georgia Symons, who began the event in 2015. In 2018, Bella Vadiveloo and Bonnie Leigh-Dodds took over the reigns.

If you are a writer/performer interested in submitting work for consideration, please follow the Small and Loud Facebook page, sign up to our mailing list and submit an application via the website.

This is a space for empathy, curiosity and courage, in our work, ourselves, and in our interactions with each other.

It is a space for rigour rather than negativity; for true kindness rather than false praise.

Please respect this space, and one another.
